A brief introduction to my city Chakwal

Hello there guys.

I’m fine and I hope that all of you will be fine and healthy there.

Friends as you know that I belong to Pakistan and my city is chakwal here. So today I’m here with a brief introduction to my city.

So let’s see first where chakwal on globe is.

Location:

Chakwal is 25 km away from M2 motorway from Balkasar interchange and it is 100 km away from Islamabad city. Chakwal is a district and it is known from 1857 as chakwal because a big group of Chaodhrials were belonging to chakwal.

Chakwal is a beautiful city of northern Punjab of Pakistan.

Language:

Formal language of chakwal is Punjabi and other languages are dhani and pothohari. But Urdu is also well famous.

Now let’s see some well known and famous places to be visited of chakwal city:

Chakwal have many famous places which are inspired for visiting.

Kalar kahar:

A very well known and inspired place of chakwal situated in south 20 km away from city. This place is famous of its lake and tomb and shrines.

Katas Raj:

Well known city due to religious places of Hindu religion. In fact this place is also admirable due to its creative buildings. Katas is 30 km away from chakwal on choa saidan shah road.

Cement factories:

Biggest investment in the history of Pakistan in industrial field. These two factories are in chakwal. 

Best way and DG cement factory.

Small dams:

Small dams which are located in surroundings are also attractive for visitors. On special days like Eid and charismas many people go there for picnic. Some most famous dams are dharabi dam, maswal dam, khokher zair dam, dhok tahlian dam and kot raja dam.

Culture of Chakwal:

Now let’s see culture of chakwal.

Dressing:

In chakwal city dressing culture is very simple. We wear normally shalwar qameez. In shows we use chappals, sandals and khusa. In winter season we wear koat over it or sweater.

Women often wear shalwar qameez with dupatta. And also with showel.

Chakwali khussa is very famous in all country and well known due to its unique design.

Food and health:

Food used by chakwal people is very simple. We eat vegetables and meat. We bake simple bread of wheat. We bake with desi ghee. People of chakwal also like eating rice and meat. Most well known food of chakwal is rewri which is very popular.

People of chakwal are healthy and hard worker. Most of them are in army. Brave and hard working people are famous in all Pakistan.

Some facts of chakwal:

First person who got Victoria class was from chakwal named Khudadad khan.

First Indian who became general in army was also from chakwal.

First muslim person in Indian army was also from chakwal.

First engineer in chief in Pakistan army was also from chakwal.

First Indian commander in the cavalry was also from chakwal.
